Wastewater Treatment Plant Laborer - South Londonderry Township

South Londonderry Township Municipal Authority is currently looking to hire a Full Time Wastewater Department Laborer. The applicant should have an interest in obtaining a PA DEP Waste water operators license, And have ,or the ability to obtain a PA Class B or higher CDL License with Air Brake and Tanker Endorsements. The perspective employee must be willing to relocate to within 15 miles of work. Job duties include but are not limited to the following. After 3 Months of training the perspective employ would be put into rotation for on call and weekend work, Approximately 1 week per month. The employee would be required to make daily site visits to each of our 4 Wastewater treatment facilities and do testing of the Plant effluent, as well as fill out daily log sheets. The employee would also do daily stops at each of the 9 pumpstations located throughout the Township and log pump run times as well as visual inspections of the pump stations. The prospective employee must work well in a team setting as well as independently. Requirements

Mechanical/Maintenance skills. Former Wastewater experience a plus. Must be willing to relocate to within 15 miles of Palmyra Pa. Must have or be able to attain a PA Class B CDL drivers License with Tanker and Airbrake Endorsements within 2 years. Must be willing to be trained to acquire a PA DEP Class C or higher Wastewater Operators License within 3 years.
