About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for an engineering internship in our Cedar Park, TX office. This on-the-job experience will support the firm’s environmental and construction water, wastewater, and Civil groups with the design and construction of a variety of water and wastewater facilities working directly with graduate and professional engineers. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in engineering.
What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job
- Assisting engineers with the evaluation, study and design of water and wastewater treatment plants, potable water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations.
- Assist with storm water pond management and inspection. The preparation of design and planning reports and construction cost estimates.
- Field work, studies and design of water and wastewater system rehabilitation. Assist with project permit applications and processing through local and state entities.
- Assist with on-site construction management through site inspection, quantity computation, and contractor communication.
Education Requirement
- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Must-haves, what you will bring
- Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
- Available to start May 2025
- Ability to travel throughout Katy Austin area (own transportation).
- Work in a team environment.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
Compensation The hourly pay for this role is $22. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
