The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Performs major portions of assigned water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure related projects + Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures + Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, preparation of technical memorandum, preparation of contract documents such as specifications and drawings + Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments + Provides guidance to graduate level engineers + Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision + Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works + Co-ordinates with other disciplines, sub-consultants, contractors and regulatory reviews **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications:** + BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Valid driver's license **Preferred Qualifications:** + 8+ years of relevant Water/Wastewater and/or water conveyance industry experience + Michigan PE license + Experience managing projects **Additional Information** Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
