SPIR Test Coordinator -
Candidate shall provide on-site waterfront technical and program support for the Modernization Programs onboard Naval Ships. This is to include, but is not limited to, scheduling, coordination and technical oversight for shipboard installations and upgrades. The candidates will provide shipboard scheduling, testing, scheduling, maintaining coordination support for ships undergoing DDG Mod, CG Mod, LHD Mod, and LSD ML availabilities. The candidate will provide onsite test support for Aegis Ashore installations. The weekly status report shall include the completion percentage of all test procedures, notes on remaining testing, and dates testing personnel are onsite. The SPIR Test Coordinators will be working with an SMR (Ship Manager Representative). Both these individuals will be supporting and completing specific tasks for the program.
Personnel shall meet these qualifications 1 or more-
BS degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, logistical support or testing of electrical or mechanical equipment. High school graduate or GED along with a graduate of a military school(s) which demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation. A graduate of a trade, industrial or correspondence school for engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, testing and repair of HM&E equipment installed on U.S. Navy surface ships or submarines.
