Waterjet Operator
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Waterjet Operator to operate and maintain a OMAX waterjet cutting machines. This role requires an individual with experience in operating waterjet cutting tables, with a preference for OMAX experience. As a Waterjet Operator, you will be essential in ensuring high-precision cuts for various materials, supporting the production team with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate OMAX waterjet cutting machines, following specifications to ensure high-quality and precise cuts.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements and parameters.
- Select and position appropriate materials, tooling, and fixtures for each job.
- Monitor machine performance and cutting processes, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired results.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished pieces for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to design specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Record production data and complete job logs to track productivity and quality outcomes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating waterjet cutting tables, with a preference for candidates with OMAX experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machine setup and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Basic computer skills for programming and operating waterjet software.
- Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
Preferred:
- Previous experience with OMAX waterjet cutting systems.
- Familiarity with different materials and cutting parameters for each material type.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
