Job Summary: Waterpark Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue and attendance at Island Waterpark located within Showboat Resort. This role will oversee all aspects of the sales department, including group sales, corporate partnerships, and special events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Sales Strategies:
- Create and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to attract new business.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Build and Maintain Relationships:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, including city officials, corporate partners, event planners, and travel agencies.
- Consistently outreach to local community organizations, schools, and businesses to drive sales through direct contact and participation at community social and other events.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Promote Waterpark Offerings:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
- Represent Island Waterpark at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the sales department budget.
- Forecast sales revenue and track financial performance.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on sales activities and results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Experience in the hospitality, entertainment, or leisure industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
