We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and detail-oriented WC (Workers Compensation) Attorney to join our fast-paced legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact in a well-established firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation background, with a minimum of 2+ years of experience. They will be responsible for handling all aspects of Workers Compensation litigation from inception to resolution.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases and provide expert legal advice on a range of issues.
2. Represent the interests of clients in hearings, trials, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
4. Conduct extensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
5. Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in a manner that maximizes client benefits.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current laws and regulations related to workers' compensation.
8. Provide regular updates to clients on case status and progress.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and customer service skills.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Workers Compensation litigation.
3. Active license to practice law in the state.
4. Proven track record of successfully managing a caseload and achieving favorable results for clients.
5. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex disputes.
6. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to develop creative legal strategies.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
8. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
10. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
