SAS Global is currently seeking a Product Specialist Sales Representative for the SAS Abrasion Resistant Pipe product line. This position is responsible for developing customer relationships across multitude of industries to establish new accounts, maintain/grow existing customer account activity, and build customer relationships to increase sales of the SAS CladPipe and SureAlloy Pipe within specific industries.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engages in sales strategies to increase new and existent client acquisitions and grow sales revenue within piping segments in assigned territory.
- Works directly with and provides regular communication to management with identifying business opportunities and develop solutions to customer's concerns and problems.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements to determine if SAS Abrasion Resistant Piping Products are a proper fit for their given application / problem.
- Identifying and prospecting for new/existing customers and documenting in CRM software.
- Proactively gather, analyze, and report current industry needs / issues to upper management to support the development of application-based solutions aligned with the development of customer requirements and competitive market needs.
- Assists with onsite field measuring and/or installation projects
- Maintains knowledge of competitor products and identifies and reports intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of industrial (Heavy Wear Pipe) sales experience
- Solid experience in and understanding of heavy industries.
- Basic understanding of wear mechanisms and/or maintenance and repair welding.
- Possess a Hunter mentality with cold-calling experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Self-motivated and self-directed individual.
- Knowledge of basic print reading skills.
- Eagerness to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territories
- Well organized and detail-oriented and good with time management skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Overnight travel to support sales activity throughout a multi-state region
- Ability to work long hours, potentially through the night and/or over weekends
- Ability to work in extreme heat, confined spaces, and in extreme heights
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver 50lbs
- Ability to manually go up and down multiple stories of stairs
- Work in an office environment as well as various industrial locations such as, Power Generation Facilities, Hard Rock Mine Sites, Steel Mills, DRI / HBI Plants, Cement Plants, & Pulp and Paper Plants.
