Title: Weatherization Specialist (WS)

Supervises: N/A
Job Summary:
Weatherization Installer will travel with their crew in a company vehicle to residential homes in the area, evaluating and installing home energy upgrades for customers. You will be performing energy-efficient measures with the highest quality and efficiency. Installations often include changing shower heads, installing light fixtures, replacing doors and/or windows, replacing glass, cover plates, patching walls, caulking, Smart Thermostats, duct sealing, and portable Acs, as well as other minor home upgrades while provide excellent customer service to all residents and program participants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to drive, walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a pallet jack. Can listen, understand, and communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with basic hands tools.
- Ability to crawl and crouch in confined spaces.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders up to 16 feet.
- Capable of using hand tools, power tools, and ladders.
- Able to install approved Energy Efficiency Measures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.
- Successfully complete required paid training (per Weatherization Specialist Training Plan) to obtain certification.
- Able to work full-time and OT.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean DMV record.
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- 1 year(s) of building industry carpentry, maintenance, mechanical, and/or Weatherization Specialist training (preferred).
- Previous construction experience (preferred).
- Capable of using hand tools, power tools, and ladders.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders up to 16 feet.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and identify, document and report information.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to drive, walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a pallet jack. Can listen, understand, and communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.

The position starts at $20 p/h with increments after each certification, with max of $23.
Minimum of 6 months experience (prefer one year) as handyman or Construction worker.
