Xenith Solutions is seeking a Web Developer to join our team in support of a government contract for the United States Transportation Command.
Job Description:
As a member of the team, you will support the United States Transportation Command in Organizational Change Management. This effort will include informing stakeholders of upcoming change, assisting stakeholder communities with making the transition to new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business processes, and reinforcing the change across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) stakeholders during the implementation of this new commercial ERP capability.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and websites to support the US Transportation Command’s Organizational Change Management (OCM) initiatives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, creating user-friendly interfaces, and ensuring the functionality and performance of web-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Web Application Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and websites in support of OCM activities.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using modern web development technologies and frameworks.
- User Interface and Experience:
- Create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance user experience.
- Ensure web applications are responsive and compatible across various devices and browsers.
- Collaboration and Requirements Gathering:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for web-based solutions.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and functional web applications.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct testing and debugging to ensure web applications function correctly and meet quality standards.
- Implement and manage web application security features to protect data and privacy.
- Maintenance and Support:
- Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to existing web applications and websites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web applications and server environments.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document development processes, code, and application changes.
- Prepare reports on web development progress and performance metrics.
- Innovation and Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance web application functionality and user experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web development, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with server-side scripting languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js) and databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and web development tools (e.g., IDEs, build tools).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
