About the Job
InvestorPlace.com, a fast-growing site with 10mm+ monthly readers, is searching for a passionate Web Editor to join our team! The Web Editor forms the backbone of our editorial operation.
At first, we’ll ask you to edit and publish eight or more articles a day about the stock market and investing in our WordPress CMS, with particular attention to our SEO strategy. You’ll be an important member of our editing team that publishes more than fifty articles a day that we source from freelance writers. As you ramp toward these goals, we'll also encourage you to get comfortable sending feedback to those freelancers, to more broadly boost the quality of article we bring to readers.
Next, you’ll start testing your own ideas to make us better. This could include working even more closely with writers, experimenting with new areas of content, trying a new style of headline or redesigning our emails to try and increase audience engagement. We’ll demand that you measure success with data, but will encourage you to experiment in ways that will teach you new skills and give us new insights into our readers.
Along the way, InvestorPlace.com will teach you digital media skills that will help you shine. We’ll also give you a valuable education in money and markets, and how to maximize your personal finances.
Familiarity with stock market terminology is a plus, but not a prerequisite (most people don’t know a stock from a bond when they arrive here). Preference will be given to candidates with at least three years of digital media experience.
