Job Title: WebLogic Administrator
Location: San Francisco, CA
Position Type: 6 Months contract
Rate: DOE(W2/C2C/1099)
$48/hr on C2C

Mandatory Technical Skills
Qualifications
· 4+ years' experience in web systems environments which include web application installations, upgrades, and deployment as well as any servers/ systems that support/ host web applications.
· Familiar with NTP, SSH, Scripting, UNIX, familiar with Linux/Solaris
· Should be able to function as a NON-ROOT user, and should understand batch concepts.
· Practical experience with WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, exposure or understand F5 logic, SunOne web servers, understand and have exposure to applications connecting to Oracle databases, exposure or understand Client Open view, understand how ticketing systems work (such as Remedy).
· Comfortable with duties that include code deployment, Dumping JMS queues, copying logs, reviewing logs for errors, archiving logs, SCP files over to other locations, and stopping/starting applications.
· Support the Production Support environment, will work with build and engineering, and work with development.
· Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and many times will be on calls with the respective teams in doing the above duties mentioned.
Responsibilities:
· Provides technical guidance and consultation for web systems environments.
· Leads projects associated with web and/or e-commerce application installations, upgrades and deployments including designing and testing multiple tier servers to meet growth or user requirements and assures existing systems are not negatively impacted.
· Reports project status.
· Develops new documentation and participates in the development of departmental technical procedures. Consults with web developers and management and recommends web configurations.
· Analyzes performance statistics and determines hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
· As an escalation point for web support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in the resolution of escalated issues and/or complex web related problems.
· Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan.
· Assigns project tasks and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
