Schedule: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 am to 7:00pm
Enterhealth is a nationally recognized leader in the addiction field. The Weekend Intake and Admissions Specialist is responsible for providing tours to prospective clients, processing new client paperwork, answering questions from clients and their families, and helping with any concerns they may have. This individual is responsible for the coordination of all admissions and troubleshooting any barriers that arise.
Essential Functions:
- Admits patients referred to Enterhealth Ranch by director of intake after obtaining pertinent information and coordinates patients' admission
- Serves as the first person to interview patients and family members; upon admission explaining admission criteria
- Provides an orientation to the program to patient and family members
- First point of communication with referral source and families reaching out within 4 hours of patient entering program if they are not present upon admission
- Friendly and able to listen to people's needs and concerns, explain complicated concepts clearly and concisely
- Works closely with admissions & special projects director, clinical director, and nursing to ensure appropriate patient placement and secure payment for care when admitted over the weekend
- Completes financial responsibility forms
- Prepares weekend census and provides information to clinical team about new admission within 4-hours of patient entering program
- Confirms that all insurance and benefit coverage meet standards of admission, delivering information to QA-UR personnel
- Works closely with nursing department by preparing new patient to be seen by RN and or MD
- Encourage the families from patients admitted to the ranch to participate in outpatient family programming
- Supports technicians and the weekend lead technician to do appropriate searches when patient is admitted over the weekend
- Supports and works closely with the employee in charge of the orientation group over the weekend to ensure they are appropriately oriented.
- Help as needed with the nursing department with medical records/releases, consents and phone calls for use with medical facilities in case of referring patients to other organizations
- Utilize EMR
- Monitor QA activities corresponding to the weekend
- Comply with all policies and procedures
- Maintain professional demeanor in dress, attitude and performance in support of community milieu

- Other duties as required by supervisor and/or the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft systems including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience in clinical systems including medical billing, patient scheduling, EMR preferred, but not required.
- LCDC or BSW degree preferred
