Position Details:
Title: Welder
Location: Lynchburg, VA
Shift: 3rd Shift - M-F. Voluntary Weekends
Compensation: $18-$22/hr+

Position Description:
As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Pipe threading, Blueprint reading, codes standards, Construction site environments, and possess proficiency in Machining and using Hand tools. You will be welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using various welding processes, such as MIG, TIG or Stick welding. Welders will fabricate and assemble metal structures including ductwork, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
Requirements:
A candidate for this role should have a High School diploma or equivalent and around 2 years' experience with welding, primarily MIG welding which constitutes the majority of the type of welding that one will do in this role. Must have strong math skills and ability to read measuring tools. Candidates must be able to read and interpret basic welding blueprints. They also must have the ability to perform basic diagnoses of welding machines and troubleshoot welder. Candidates will take a simple welding test during their interview.
