Summary/Objective: Serves as the primary liaison between Production Management, Program Management and Leadmen to ensure accomplishment of all assigned work. Supervises Leadman, provides resources as needed to support scheduled operations, ensures employees are trained and qualified for assigned duties and interfaces with other departments to ensure all resources for job accomplishment are available.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Works with PM to ensure current and next week schedule commitments are resourced and achieved.
- Communicates with leadman to ensure daily requirements are accomplished.
- Ensures FWP/PCPs issued and maintained current.
- Assist Leadmen in troubleshooting issues preventing work.
- Conducts at least weekly surveys of all active job sites with assigned PM.
- Monitors labor budget performance.
- Creates and submits field requisitions to purchasing.
- Responsible for pick-up and deliveries of rental equipment.
- Submits daily timecards to Production Admin. with assigned Production Team clock-ins clock-outs.
- Ensures all necessary tools and consumables for the job are at the worksite prior to commencing workday.
- Submit daily worksite accountability emails for personnel under their supervision to HR Dept. and Management Team.
- Ensures all personnel involved are qualified and/or certified for the required job.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Additional Duties for General Foreman
- Serves as senior foreman in regard to all subordinate staff assigned to production department, including other foremen, leadmen, production trades, etc.
- Ensures assigned staff are trained and qualified for assigned work as per company training/awareness/competency procedures.
- Evaluates performance of assigned staff.
- Other duties as assigned by Production Superintendent.
Education/Experience Required:
- Demonstrated expertise within applicable trade.
- Understand the Naval Ship Repair requirements and working environment.
- Proficiency in standard office computer software
- Must be able to work in the US.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid California driver's license.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requires 40+ hours of work per week. M-F 0600 - 1430 (or as otherwise assigned by General Manager) with pre-scheduled overtime as needed.
Work Environment: This job operates in an office environment and shipyard work environment.
Travel: This position does require ability to travel.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be available to work at heights, confined spaces and have ability to climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes.
May involve carrying objects that weigh up to 50 lbs., frequent stooping, bending, crawling, reaching, and walking.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
- Completion of a satisfactory background check
- Passing a drug test and physical examination
- Eligibility to work in the US.
- Obtaining DBIDS level security clearance.
- OSHA 10 Maritime
- Shipyard Competent Person (Preferred)
