POSITION SUMMARY
The Wellness Program Manager is focused on reducing population health risks through lifestyle modifications for Community Health Options’ employees, Members, and group clients. This role develops and facilitates engagement strategies that foster awareness and participation in activities that promote a culture of wellness. Based on Member/client interactions, this role is instrumental in providing recommendations for new product plan features, coordinating incentive programs, and responding to client RFPs as they pertain to wellness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as subject matter expert in lifestyle optimization for internal and external communications and marketing strategies.
- Partners closely with internal teams/departments to identify business/marketing and communication objectives and translates them into marketing and communications plans/digital content. Ensures effective delivery of key messages to targeted audiences and ensures alignment with brand, organization goals and culture.
- Implements, administers and manages wellness platform URLs across all lines of business and leverages existing digital platforms to promote wellness communications.
- Consults with local Small and Large Group employers and brokers to gain insight into cultural nuances and to support development of data informed customized wellness programs.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify trends in health risk and claims data to inform program strategies focused on improving health, well-being, and productivity.
- Oversees applicable vendor relationships and ensures contract parameters such as coordination of services, service levels, outcome data, reports, and invoicing meet or exceed expectations.
- Serves as a key stakeholder in the product life cycle by providing wellness recommendations to plan designs.
- Assists in the development of health and wellness incentive programs (i.e., Diabetes Incentive Program).
- Proactively collaborates with department leaders to discern resource needs associated with wellness program enhancements, when applicable.
- Leads the internal Wellness Committee and develops a Community Health Options’ employee wellness strategy.
- Performs project management duties to include planning, tracking deliverables, identifying potential issues, and interfacing with internal and external areas for execution.
- Keeps current with wellness trends and scientific literature; recognize potential implications for the company and recommend new programs based on evidence.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in health education, public health, health promotion or other allied health profession. Professional clinical license (e.g., RN, RD/LD), preferred. Expertise in health promotion and preventive health. 5-10 years of health insurance and/or employee wellness program development and support. 5-10 years of leadership experience mentoring and developing direct or indirect reports. 10-15 years directly related experience (health education and promotion, developing and implementing wellness programs, behavior change health coaching). Nationally recognized certification in Health and Wellness (certified diabetes educator, diabetes prevention program facilitator, asthma educator, certified health coach, etc.), preferred.
