Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a part-time Wheelchair Seating Technician to work within our Rehabilitation Department.  Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives.  Our top healthcare professionals excel in their practices and provide compassionate, family-centered care to children who need it most.  

• Manages, cleans, repairs, organizes and maintains high volumes of rehab medical equipment, predominantly wheelchairs; but may include shower chairs, walkers, commodes, crutches, etc. 
• Provides knowledge of molded and planar seating systems. 
• May supervise volunteers in wheelchair repairs where applicable.
• Maintains program inventories.
• May train additional technicians.

Required:

• High School Diploma
• Minimal one year related experience
  • Seating orders
  • Mobility systems and repairs
  • Fabricating seating devices

Preferred:

• RESNA ATP certification
