White Pine Community Church (whitepinechurch.org) is seeking a Youth Pastor.
Overview
Do you want to help teens and their parents find and follow Jesus in the most unreached region in America? Is New England culture a natural fit for you? Do you have the spiritual gifts of leadership and teaching? Do you have a degree in Bible/ministry and/or professional experience in youth ministry?
If so, we hope you will consider joining our team. Since 2001, White Pine Community Church (whitepinechurch.org) has been the only contemporary, beginner-friendly, Bible-teaching church in the 50,000-person region northeast of Portland, Maine. We are searching for a full-time youth pastor to provide vision and overall direction for all middle school and high school ministries.
Our youth pastor will recruit, train and oversee all student ministry leaders, develop programs that serve students and their parents; and provide general pastoral service to the church family. If gifted in preaching, the family pastor will also serve as a member of a multi-generational preaching team.
Requirements
YOUTH PASTOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Expectations:
· Provide vision and overall direction for middle school and high school ministries.
· Recruit, train and oversee volunteer ministry leaders.
· Work with children’s director in developing and promoting a discipleship pathway for children and students through high school graduation.
· Develop programs that serve students and their parents.
· Work with other White Pine leaders to integrate youth ministry into the larger vision of the church.
· Provide general pastoral service to the church family as requested by the pastor.
· Attend weekly staff meetings.
· If gifted in preaching, join multi-generational preaching team under direction and mentorship of the pastor.
· Read and abide by White Pine’s personnel manual. Accountability:
· The youth pastor will be in full submission to the board of elders, and will report directly to the pastor.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $70,00 - Compensation package will be based upon education, experience and family needs.
· Full-time benefits include health insurance and matching retirement contributions.
· Two weeks of paid vacation will be given (and taken) each year; vacation time increases to three weeks after 5 years.
· Mileage reimbursement will be equal to IRS reimbursement.
· Compensation package will be reviewed annually.

The Candidate This man will demonstrate a strong walk with Christ, a clear calling to pastoral ministry, and be an experienced leader who understands small-town church ministry. We desire him to bring strengths in preaching, worship service planning, and pastoral care. This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic, we would like our new pastor to maintain a healthy balance of ministry and family life. Our pastor will need administrative capacities that develop the church’s current and future staff, volunteers, and ministry systems. He will need to work well with the elders and other church leaders to effectively provide spiritual care and guidance to our congregation. It is essential that our pastor leads us with teaching and outreach opportunities that connect our church with our community, mission efforts, and local ministerium group.
