We are seeking a Cytotechnologist to:

• Perform microscopic screening of gynecologic ThinPrep slides with the Hologic Imager
• Perform manual QC rescreens on gynecologic specimens
  
• Perform microscopic screening of non-gynecologic and Fine Needle Aspirate (FNA) slide preparations
  
• Documentation of interpretation results in Epic Beaker
  
• Assess stain and quality of prepared slides
  
• Embrace flexibility by undertaking additional duties as needed to support the department
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Facility Requirement:
• Traveler must have permanent address outside 50-mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile: resume, *** portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed).
• Education:
  • Bachelors degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical, biological sciences, or a related field.
    
  • Completion of an accredited cytotechnology program.
    • (Education verification is required. Make sure education detail is included in profile or it will be declined). Do not submit profiles who do not meet minimum education listed above.
      
• Experience:
• Traveler must have completed minimum of three years of cytotechnology experience.
• Traveler must have experience noted in the description above. This should be included on their skills checklist or profile (gyn thinprep slides, QC rescreens on gyn specimens, FNA slide preparations, etc...)
• Epic beaker experience highly preferred.
• Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
• Licensure and Certification:
• ASCP Cytotechnologist certification required. (Include copy in profile)
• References:
  
• Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
• Floating
  
  • Travelers are the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract
