We are seeking an Electrophysiology Tech to:
Perform pediatric, adolescent and adult diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures.
Function independently as an expert technologist in EP who is a highly competent and clinically skilled member of the Heart and Vascular Care Procedure Center patient care team. In addition to assisting the EP physicians with the most complex procedures, you ll oversee the technical operations required for the performance of routine diagnostic through the advanced interventional electrophysiology procedures.
Be an expert in EP based on their knowledge, clinical and technical skill level and ability to educate and train staff within the department.
Minimum Requirements:
Facility Requirement:
Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile).
Experience:
Electrophysiology or EP experience, Strong EP Ablation experience required
Two (2) years of Electrophysiology Technologist work experience in a dedicated Electrophysiology Laboratory
Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
Prior traveling experience highly preferred.
Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 2-3 weeks prior to start date.
Licensure and Certification:
Basic Life Support/CPR Certification (American Heart Association only)
ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
Education:
Minimum Graduate of a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) Technologist training program. Two years of experience as an imaging technologist may be considered in lieu of training program completion.
Preferred Bachelor s degree in relevant field.
Telemetry Exam:
Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 2-3 weeks prior to start date.

Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
Floating
Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
