We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to:
Join UW Health surgeons who provide expert surgical treatment in a variety of surgical specialties, including specialties including trauma surgery, minimally invasive surgery, surgical oncology and thoracic surgery.
Assist with rooming patients, vitals and stocking as needed.
Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
Minimum Requirements:
Facility Requirement:
Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile including resume, *** portal, onboarding documents).
Experience:
Minimum two years experience required as Certified Medical Assistant.
Traveler must have ambulatory or clinic experience including rooming patients.
Epic experience highly preferred.
Prior traveler experience required.
Licensure and Certification:
Certified as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or LPN.
BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or
In lieu of the above requirements, two (2) years of recent Medical Assistant experience and current CMA, RMA or CCMA certification.
Reference
Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
Floating
Travelers are the first to float to floors. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
Location: 600 Highland Avenue, Madison, WI
Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation for 600 Highland Ave, free parking for S Park Street

32 hrs/week, day shift, four 8-hour days a week, between the hours of 7am - 5pm, depending on the needs of the clinic.
