Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years of technical experience directly working with Wi-Fi / RF in computer architecture and data communications
- Experience with Wireless technology testing which includes Wireless AP's, Routers, Wireless extenders & Wireless standards (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax)
- Knowledge of real-world wireless environments
- Experience working with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, Switching
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Wi-Fi extender product testing and defect validation
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of 802.11b/g/n/ac/ax) standards and specs
- Familiarity with IoT testing (Zigbee, Bluetooth, Thread, etc.)
- Inter-Op testing (CE, CPE, etc.)
- Rate vs orientation, Rate vs. Range, performance tests using RF isolation chambers
- Work with traffic Generators (iGen, Ixia Chariot, iPerf, etc.)
- Enhanced Wi-Fi feature testing
- Need for a product lead who has the ability to present and communicate test data (written and verbally) to exec level management
- Familiarity with industry standard Wi-Fi test tools like Veriwave, IXIA Chariot and packet debuggers like Wireshark, Omnipeek and Savius.
- Preferable knowledge in secondary home networking technologies such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, MoCA, and Ethernet in a DOCSIS environment.
- Preferable knowledge of Wi-Fi extenders.
- Comfortable in some scripting language of choice
- Must be able to work independently
- Excellent Debugging skills & experience troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for analysis, and automation excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while confidently driving multiple projects across many teams
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently
