We would prefer to see someone from the system engineering side or a good device tester who has strong engineering skills. Operational and deployment engineers would also be of interest to us.
Scope:
- Immediate need for a contractor with strong WiFi experience for at least a 12 month contract. Offering an exceptional in-home Wi-Fi experience to customers is critical to our client's success. Having a team member with that particular experience is important.
- We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support a growing team in the Voice and Data space. We are particularly looking for people with solid experience in in-house WIFI, IPv6, MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance), home automation (the wireless connectivity part), as well as traditional DOCSIS, modems and VOIP.
- A technical specialist and generalist is desired with former or current Cable industry experience. There will be no development or coding/testing involved. However prior experience in these areas would be nice to have as you will interact with Developers and testers daily. Additional responsibilities will be to work directly with various stakeholders and teams, communication skills are a glaring requirement.
- We are looking for Systems level resources, or people looking to move that way.
Must Have: - MoCA experience is key t. They are not looking for a Developer, this is a true Systems engineering role and a jack of all trades cable is needed.
- Prior or current Cable systems engineering experience
- Experience with MoCA (Multimedia over Coax) is vital as our client is driving new projects to make consumer homes more "connected” with wireless hotspots and improving multimedia streaming content
- IPv6 (they are moving all customers & indirect customers via other MSO's to IPV6 format)
- Solid WiFi engineering experience
- Must have a very strong understanding of IP networking
- Basic router configuration
- Knowledge of Docsis 3.0 (Do not need to be a specialist here – customer is moving from 3.0 to 3.1 so a basic understanding helps)
Nice to Have - Docsis 3.1
