Wildlife Exclusion Assistant
The Wildlife Exclusion Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Wildlife Exclusion team in ensuring that properties are securely protected from wildlife intrusions. This position involves working closely with the Lead Technician, primarily assisting with tasks from the ground while the technician works at height. The role requires attention to detail, safety, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Exclusion Technician: Assist the Lead Technician by providing tools, materials, and assistance from the ground to ensure efficient and safe operations on ladders or elevated workspaces.
- Material Handling: Prepare, carry, and organize materials such as exclusion barriers, sealants, and other necessary tools for the day's work.
- Site Preparation and Cleanup: Ensure the work area is prepared and maintained throughout the job, including setting up safety zones, organizing tools, and cleaning up the site after work is completed.
- Wildlife Exclusion: Assist in the installation of exclusion materials, including inspecting potential entry points, measuring and cutting materials, and applying sealants under the direction of the Lead Technician.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ladder safety, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the Lead Technician to ensure the smooth progression of work tasks and address any issues that arise during the job.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers, providing updates on the work process and addressing any concerns in a professional manner.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and care of all tools and equipment used in wildlife exclusion tasks, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a hands-on role, such as construction, maintenance, or other physically demanding jobs, is preferred.
- Comfortable with outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Work Environment:
