We´re looking for a Wind Real Estate Manager to join our Team: Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to perform project work including securing ALTA surveys and title policies for new and acquired renewable energy facilities across multiple jurisdictions. Manage contractors, vendors, and consultants to maintain project timeline and budget. Provide ongoing support to the wind development team, as required, throughout the development and construction process. Manage executable lease drafting and track all signed leases throughout the development process. Will be responsible for all real-estate title related matters from project origination through financing. The role requires extensive experience in all aspects of title work, from securing initial title reports from outside vendors through curing and managing the closing of a title policy, in conjunction with extensive experience in all aspects of ALTA Surveys, from securing initial design base sheets, to overlays and pre-construction staking verification processing, as well as securing financeable certified ALTA Surveys for utility-scale renewable energy projects including managing financial closings through construction, mechanical completion, and COD prior to handoff to Asset Management. The successful candidate for Manager Wind Real Estate will have proven success supporting development efforts in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on utility-scale wind development. Location may be remote, or preferably based out of an AES office (Louisville, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, Houston, TX, New York, NY, or San Diego, CA). The candidate for this position will report to the Vice President, Permitting and Real Estate. Skills You'll Use Every Day: Demonstrated expertise in commercial title review and curative processes and ALTA survey related work including review, negotiation, and coordination of all deliverables for renewable energy projects. Exceptional organizational, communication, decision making/problem solving, analytical and time management skills. Proven ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Ability to build a team with strong initiative and mentorship skills. Track record of ability to instill confidence as a credible, reliable and expert subject matter expert for team members in technical matters. Ability to critically and creatively anticipate, recognize and solve problems. Ability to manage and mentor direct reports. Attention to detail. Desired Skills and Expertise: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, paralegal certificate, or relevant real estate experience (title, land, mineral, and/or survey). 5+ years proven track record of real estate success in project management. Experience in renewable energy development, preferably in utility-scale environment, a plus. Strong and compassionate leader, able to develop relationships across a large functional team that includes origination, project development, legal, finance, engineering, construction, outside consultants, landowners, customers, project collaborators and utility companies. Ability to communicate efficiently in verbal and written correspondence. Knowledge of renewable energy construction process; real estate development; renewable energy projects/assets evaluation and acquisition. Microsoft Office. The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $125.000 and $161.500/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
