We are currently accepting resumes for a Wind Technician position in Thomas, OK.
This position is Onsite.

The selected candidate will perform the following duties:
Support the facility manager and wind team to assure the facility operates in accordance with Safety, Health and Environmental policies and standards while achieving maximum performance, reliability and profitability. Assist in coordinating and performing duties related to OEM and contractor oversight, equipment inspections, monitoring and repairs, including the start-up, operation and shutdown of turbines, generators, exciters, transformers, switchyard and balance of plant equipment. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Essential Job Functions:
" Responsible for exercising care and good judgment in preventing accidents and protecting the safety and health of fellow workers. Report any unsafe actions, conditions or near misses.
" Conduct JSAs, utilize JHAs and SDSs, etc.
" Diagnose problems involving wind turbine generators.
" Climb wind turbine towers to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
" Troubleshoot or repair mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions related to variable pitch systems, variable speed control systems, converter systems, or related components.
" Test structures, controls, or mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems, according to test plans or in coordination with engineering specifications.
" Knowledge of proper rigging and lifting applications related to wind turbine replacement parts.
" Inspect or repair fiberglass turbine blades.
" Assist in assembly of individual wind generators or construction.
" Climb equipment or structures to access work areas.
" Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
Minimum Requirements:
" Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is required. Associate's degree in wind, electrical, mechanical or an associated technology preferred.
" Experience: 2 Years of experience in the wind industry working as a Wind Technician or related work experience in power plant generation (electrical maintenance, operations or plant construction),or combination of these areas. Electrical experience working on/near various voltages ranging from 24V to 34.5kV, and working knowledge of voltages above 34.5kV recommended. Must successfully complete a climbing test.
" Licenses/Certifications: Must possess appropriate state driver's license and hold a current Global Wind Organization (GWO) Certification

" Personal protective equipment
" Rescue kit/climb harness/climb helmet
" Fall Arrester: 3S Lift SL-R60S Guiderail
" Transportation between wind towers (truck or car rental)
