Windchill Data Migration Sr. Developer - Hireblox

We are seeking an experienced Windchill Data Migration Senior Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and extensive experience in Windchill, specifically focusing on data migration. As a senior developer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless migration of data into the Windchill system, leveraging best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Data Migration Planning:

o    Develop comprehensive data migration strategies, frameworks, and timelines in alignment with project objectives and business requirements.

·         Windchill Data Migration Execution:

o    Lead and perform complex data migration activities, ensuring smooth transition into the Windchill PLM environment.

o    Execute extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for data migration from legacy systems to Windchill.

·         Data Mapping and Transformation:

o    Analyze data structures in legacy systems and map them to Windchill’s data model.

o    Define and implement data transformation rules and logic to ensure data accuracy and consistency during migration.

·         Script and Tool Development:

o    Design, develop, and maintain scripts and utilities to automate data migration processes.

o    Utilize Windchill’s API and other relevant tools to ensure efficient data migration.

·         Data Quality Assurance:

o    Implement data validation processes to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.

o    Conduct data reconciliation and troubleshoot any data discrepancies post-migration.

·         Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting:

o    Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and end-users to ensure data migration aligns with business requirements.

o    Provide regular status updates, documentation, and reports on migration progress, challenges, and resolutions.

Qualifications:

·         Experience:

o    10+ years of experience in PLM environments, with a focus on Windchill.

o    At least 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically in Windchill data migration.

·         Technical Skills:

o    Expertise in Windchill API, Java, SQL, and ETL tools for data extraction and transformation.

o    Strong understanding of Windchill architecture and data structures.

o    Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) to automate migration tasks.
