Our focus includes windows, doors, cabinets, siding, and garage doors and hardware.
The Window and Door Salesperson will be a technical sales professional at its core. This is an outside sales position for a motivated and relationship-building individual who knows how to give great customer service----every time. This sales professional will meet with customers and review their construction and building projects and offer solutions amongst the assortment of products we offer----and suggest the best and most sensible way of getting them installed. The outside sales position involves utilizing contact management software and other digital tools.
The Window and Door Salesperson will stay in frequent contact with customers, the door assembly team, warehouse personnel, inside sales team and the scheduler, offering the ideal experience for the customer. Occasional overnight travel is required for training with manufacturers. Our installation teams, shop-built doors and outsourced windows & doors are top-notch. Duties and Responsibilities
- Be an ethical person to the company, your coworkers and to the customers
- Utilize Microsoft Calendar and Contact Management tools to plan your day
- Call and/or callback customers that have called in-----no cold calls or "door knocking"
- Visit customer homes for basic measurements and discuss products
- Update customers on progress and send emails/ texts as a matter of habit
- Keep appointments and be on time and friendly-----no grumps please
- Write estimates and tour projects with install foreman to discuss the project challenges
- Meet with people at our showroom and interact with local builders and contractors
- Coordinate jobs with manufacturers, our scheduler, installation team and customers
Requirements
- A safe driving record
- Ability to read tape measure and do basic math calculations
- Ability to imagine the experiences of a prospect/customer and understand their perspective
- Ability to solve problems and work with a team
- Ability to discern color variations and matches
- Computer skills including Outlook, Excel and blueprint software (read only) and will be required to learn product-specific quoting software
- Able to understand basic construction---window and door components and installation a plus
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Industry-specific experience preferred
- Hiring process includes pre-employment background & MVR check, physical and drug screen
