Description
The Operational Support Consultant is part of the Operations team managing a large web application hosting environment in Central Pennsylvania. The hosting environment comprises 4000+ Wintel servers and 800+ Web-facing applications and continues to grow. It is widely recognized for its innovative use of the latest technologies from Microsoft, Cisco, and other leading IT companies.
The areas of expertise for the consultant include Microsoft SCCM, Windows Administration and Active Directory.

Responsibilities Involve the Following
- Work with the client and vendors to support applications in the data center.
- Support infrastructure services like Windows, Active Directory, PKI, Patch Management, Monitoring, etc. of the application servers.
- Use SCCM for patching and inventory management
- Handle support tickets and is responsible for troubleshooting Windows, IIS, SQL and application issues.
Requirements
The core qualifications are:
- Excellent Windows Administration
- Active Directory 2003/2008 Administration
- Strong Microsoft SCCM
- Mobile Phone/Laptop: Required for infrequent after-hours support and escalations.

Experience/Equivalent Knowledge in the Following Areas is Advantageous
- IIS Administration
- UNIX/Linux Administration
- Citrix
- VMWare ESX
- Microsoft PKI
- Remedy/ServiceNow
- MCSE 2008 or MCITP Enterprise Administrator certification is a plus
