Windows Driver - Kernel Engineers - Steinman Recruiting Associates

We seek talented windows driver - kernel engineers to collaborate with a global team delivering robust, scalable, and reliable software that enables exciting new technologies that are reshaping PC UX. Our client is a US semiconductor company that is entrepreneurial yet offers the stability and growth one might expect for a long-term career. Title: Engineer (mid, senior, principal levels)

Location: Austin, Texas. Hybrid, onsite 2-3 days weekly. Full relocation offered.

Compensation: Depending on experience, we see a base salary to ~$195,000. Client offers a stellar benefits package. A solid bonus upside along with RSUs.

What will get our attention:

• Proven industry experience in the design, build, and maintenance of efficient, reusable, and reliable windows drivers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using software (automated tests, debuggers), hardware (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMMs), and other resources (schematics and datasheets).
• Architecture knowledge … race conditions, synchronization, deadlocks, and interrupts.
• Serial buses and protocols, i.e., I2C, SPI, I2S, HDA.
• Kernel development in C and Visual Studio.
• Git, SVN.

Desirable:

• PhD/MS … EE/CE/CS.
• Development board and customer platform bring-up.
• Test-driven-development.
• Jenkins, SonarQube
