Job Summary:
As a Windows OS Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows-based systems and infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT environment. This position requires a deep understanding of Windows operating systems, system automation, and experience with large-scale deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy Windows-based systems and infrastructure to meet business requirements.
- System Maintenance and Support: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system stability and security. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windows OS.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline system management tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of Windows servers and related applications.
- Security Management: Implement and manage security policies and procedures to protect systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance and health.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, developers, and IT support staff, to deliver integrated solutions and support business operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the Windows infrastructure and processes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows system engineering or a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) administration and management.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and other automation tools.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, intrusion detection).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
