Winter Athletic Coaches - Rye Country Day School

Rye Country Day School is seeking Winter Season Coaches beginning November 13, 2024 through March 15, 2025. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Beginning November 13, 2024 through March 15, 2025, Middle School, Junior Varsity and Varsity Assistant coaching roles in the following sports are needed: 

• Boys’ Basketball
• Girls’ Basketball
• Boys’ Fencing
• Girls’ Fencing
• Boys’ Ice Hockey 
• Girls’ Ice Hockey
• Boys’ Squash 
• Girl’s Squash
• Boys’ Indoor Track
• Girls’ Indoor Track
• Wrestling

Specific responsibilities of each position includes:

• Managing student athletes
• Communicating with athletes, parents and guardians, and the Athletics administration
• Attending all practices and games
• Helping to development the sports program
• Supervising teams before and after practices/contests
• Completing or assisting to complete comments and providing feedback at the completion of each season
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the Athletics Administration and Varsity Head Coach

• Excellent leadership and coaching skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Coaching experience
• A well-developed sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community members; a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
• Strong organizational, administrative, and technology skills
• A positive attitude and an ability to foster a cooperative work environment and to work well with other members of the department, supervisors and employees

Salary Range $2500-6000 depending on level of play and coaching experience
