About the Job
The ability to work from written and verbal instructions, procedures and work orders is required. The Wire Drawer will be responsible for drawing and annealing wire rods of various alloys to produce a wide range of diameters to exacting quality standards in accordance with applicable specifications. Set-up and operate all drawing and annealing equipment, perform required quality checks and adjust tooling/machines as necessary. Operate production equipment to produce finished products and prepare product for shipment.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Good mechanical skills. Basic mathematical skills - Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills, using all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). Ability to use production tools and use / read a micrometer. Must have physical dexterity. Good vision and eye-hand coordination. Prior wire processing / handling experience (such as drawing/extrusion/cabling) will be given preference.
