Responsibilities
- Initiate outgoing domestic and international wire transfer transactions and process incoming wire transfer transactions through an automated funds transfer system.
- Receives outgoing wire transfer requests from customers.
- Reviews wire transfer request forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Contacts customer to confirm outgoing wire transfer requests by telephone.
- Input/transfer customer submitted information into automated wire transfer processing system.
- Works closely with other staff involved in wire transfers daily.
- Review system reports and internal logs to ensure that all requests are processed in a timely manner.
- Monitors wire transfer activity for any suspicious and potentially fraudulent transactions
- Maintains log of daily wire transfer transactions.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations.
- Performs other accounting duties and ad hoc requests.
- Bank Secrecy Act responsibilities including identifying suspicious activity, reporting suspicious activity to your manager, monitoring high-risk accounts, helping to identify high-risk customers (accounts) adhering to the Customer Identification Program (CIP), and performing an Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) check.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with course work in Accounting, Economics and/or Finance.
- Experience with Wire Transfers is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate a personal computer with a strong knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and complete tasks with deadlines.
