Child Family Specialist Licensed Counselor - Women & Children's Residential Program - Full Time

Our residential treatment program for pregnant women and mothers with dependent children, located in Garner, NC, is seeking a full-time Licensed Counselor.
Under the supervision of the Residential Director, you will provide a person/family-centered recovery approach to treatment. The primary role of the Child Family Specialist (CFS) Counselor is to provide direct care to the women in the program that includes but is not limited to: completion of comprehensive clinical assessments, person-centered plans, orientation into the residential program, individual therapy, facilitation of intensive treatment groups, coordination of care and case management services throughout the length of time the women participate in the treatment program. This position will also provide support to staff and identify ways they can support residents with their parenting skills thus increasing the likelihood of becoming successful parents.
Pay
Starting at $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year, based on experience and licensure.

Schedule
Flexible! Work either Mon-Fri 8a-5p, 9a-6p or the option to work 4, 10-hour shifts.
Must be available on some occasional Saturdays to facilitate 4-hour makeup groups.

You will be eligible for medical benefits the first of the month following your first 30 days. SouthLight is also eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
We are excited to offer an additional benefit of Clinical Supervision Reimbursement. We will provide a monthly reimbursement of up to $200 (full-time) or $100 (part-time) to each associate level clinician electing this benefit for no more than 2 years, or until licensure is completed, whichever is first. Licensures eligible to receive this benefit include LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA, LPA, LCASA, and CADC.
Job Responsibilities of a Licensed Child Family Specialist Counselor
- Evaluation - intakes, screenings, assessments
- Clinical Service - groups, individual and family therapy, documentation
- Authorizations for Reimbursement - fluent and knowledgeable of service definitions provided under the program
- Case Management - uses the results of breath and urine tests appropriately and as a therapeutic tool to determine the member's progress in treatment
- Supervision of Clinical Practice - clinical supervision and treatment team meetings/ case review
- As a SouthLight Counselor, it is expected that you will willingly take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor - for example, supervision and mentoring of a new hire or intern, or a lead role on a team project
Qualifications of a Licensed Child Family Specialist Counselor
Education and Experience
- Minimum Master's degree in a Human Services field
- Experience with MH/SU dual diagnosis preferred
- Experience working with residents and children
Licensure/Certifications
- Currently Licensed or provisionally Licensed in Substance Use treatment (LCAS/A, LMFT/A, LCSW/A, LCMHC/A)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Electronic Medical Record skills
- Ability, knowledge, and training to understand nature of addiction, withdrawal symptoms, and identify symptoms of substance use
- Diagnostic skills and familiarity with the DSM-V for diagnostic and treatment purposes
- Working knowledge of counseling theories
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment; ability to work in a team setting
- Superior organizational skills
