Workday Business Analyst (remote) - Knowledge Services

Knowledge Services is seeking a remote Workday Business Analyst for a contract through the end of May 2025 (likely for extension) with the State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS).

• Applicants are able to work 100% remotely
• Applicants MUST have prior State of Federal government experience

Workday Business Analyst Responsibilities:

• Main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. As a key contributor to the State of Maine Workday implementation it is imperative that you establish high quality standards and lead by example.

• Monitoring/Supporting/Researching Data Quality/Data Cleanup with Stakeholders
• Data Validation
• Ticket Management (JIRA)
• Eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, and communicating business requirements
• General project documentation (i.e. meeting notes, drafting proposals)
• General support through testing phases: researching issues, providing guidance on defect resolution
• Other Project Support tasks as identified

Workday Business Analyst Required Skills:

• 1+ years of experience as a Workday Business Analyst supporting HCM and/or Payroll

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize multiple sources of data/information and compile into a cohesive presentation.

• Prior State of Federal government experience will be given preference

• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient with Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, concatenations, etc.)
• Excellent active listening skills
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to various audiences
• Ability to influence others
• Flexibility and adaptability; ability to work in ambiguous situations at all levels of the organization
• Problem solving and root cause analysis skill
• Ability to synthesize multiple sources of data/information and compile into a cohesive presentation

• Bachelor's degree
