Summary:
The Workday HCM and Payroll Applications Leader will manage Workday’s suite of HCM and Payroll applications.
This role will be responsible for a team of analysts, report writers and will serve as the subject matter expert for Workday HCM and Payroll. Primary responsibilities include the design and configuration of recruiting, core HCM, compensation, benefits, absence, journeys, help, and payroll. This includes the management of HCM and payroll business processes, report administration, case management, while partnering with other Workday application leaders in a team environment. This role reports directly to the Director of Workday Applications and will collaborate with key stakeholders throughout the Rush system.

Other information:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrable successful ERP implementation project and optimization experience
• 5 years of experience in HCM and Payroll or similar environment.
• 2 years of experience in Workday specifically
• Healthcare or higher education experience preferably with healthcare provider system.
• Technical and Functional Expertise or a desire to learn and obtain expertise in Workday
• Workday certifications desirable or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
• Lead architect of the implementation and ongoing management of Workday HCM and Payroll applications.
• Collaborate with HR, Supply Chain Management, Finance and Technical teams to gather requirements and design solutions that bring value to RUSH.
• Interacts with internal and external stakeholders to foster positive and productive relationships.
• Subject matter expert who oversees the configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday updates and enhancements.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Workday system.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Provides input to deliver training programs to stakeholders to maximize the use of Workday functionalities
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external consultants as needed.
• Stay current with Workday updates and industry best practices to continuously improve HR and payroll processes.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Workday technical analysts, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Assigns and coordinates team resources to meet group goals.
• Coordinate and ensure proper change control processes are followed.
• Shared responsibility with other Workday application leads for the application management of Workday
