Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented HRIS Analyst to manage the development, ongoing maintenance, and technical aspects of the Workday HCM system. While this role may specialize in a specific Workday module (such as Recruiting), familiarity with all modules will be essential for backup purposes. The HRIS Analyst will provide production support, develop requirements, conceptualize designs, and recommend HR business processes to support core organizational HR functions. This role requires collaboration with various business partners and stakeholders, including HR centers of expertise, to enhance and deliver effective HR solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration and Enhancement: Support and execute ongoing Workday configuration and enhancement needs for HR business processes (e.g., compensation, benefits, recruiting).
- Technical Support: Provide technical support for Workday projects, including testing system updates and upgrades.
- Issue Resolution: Work with functional users to provide technical support, research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with core HCM and other HR modules.
- Production Support: Deliver production support, problem-solving, and operational support.
- Process Improvement: Partner with HR centers of expertise to build, enhance, and deliver Workday business processes that support self-service and improve the end-user experience.
- Requirement Definition: Collaborate with HR teams and internal stakeholders to define business requirements, implement, test, and deploy additional HCM modules or changes.
- Communication: Present recommended improvements and solutions for Workday business processes and provide decision-making rationale.
- Collaborative Work: Engage with technical teams to profile applications, identify interdependencies, and ensure complementary designs.
- Design Methodologies: Apply Human Centered Design (HCD) processes and standard business analysis methodologies to develop sustainable solutions.
- Innovation: Maintain current knowledge on emerging technologies and Workday enhancements, seeking opportunities for innovation and maximizing HRIS functionality.
- Risk Management: Mitigate risks, support release management processes, and produce required project analysis documentation (e.g., business requirements, use cases, UAT plans).
- Documentation and Analysis: Develop comprehensive documentation and utilize leading practices to analyze problems, manage constraints, and suggest solutions.
- Confidentiality and Ethics: Build trusting relationships based on ethical judgment and confidentiality, promoting inclusive relationships and adhering to ethical standards.
- Strategic Alignment: Contribute to achieving immediate and long-term goals, demonstrating alignment with organizational and HR strategic plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, industrial/organizational psychology, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in Workday HCM configuration, troubleshooting, user support, or operational tasks, ideally in a higher education setting.
- Skills: Strong judgment, decision-making abilities, and functional/configuration knowledge of Workday HCM. Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building capabilities are essential.
- Additional Experience:
- Experience delivering user-centered products, conducting requirement-gathering sessions, and utilizing analytics tools.
- Experience with test strategy development, problem-solving, and time management in dynamic environments.
- Ability to analyze workforce trends and present data insights effectively.
- Knowledge of the employee life cycle and human capital analytics.
Compensation:
- The annual base salary range for this position is $86,653.04 - $99,382.74. The final offer will consider factors such as the scope of the position, candidate experience, education, key skills, internal equity, legal considerations, and market conditions.
