Roles & Responsibilities
- Customer POC
- Development of New Workday Integrations
- Attending Agile Standups.
- Gather requirements for Small mod, CSR and suggesting the design approach.
- Sometime business would require some tactical approach on the existing application, which needs to be supplemented.
- Code deployment and coordinating release validation.
- Offshore Coordination
- Knowledge Transition with Maintenance Team
Review all artifacts provided by the functional analyst to ensure understanding prior to creating solution design
- Attend bi-weekly customer meetings with the CUSTOMER TGL for your designed business area of responsibility to address any technical issues
- Attend bi-weekly internal IT status meeting setup by the CUSTOMER TGL
- Responsible for assigning andmanaging all design, development and implementation activities for Small Mod, CSR, Corrective and PAIP work
- Responsible for ensuring a design review (peer review, PDR/CDR – only when directed by architect) is conducted for all changes
- Responsible for ensuring all activities utilize standard CUSTOMER approved technology
- Responsible for ensuringcode (peer) reviews are conducted for all code changes
- Responsible for ensuring unit testing is conducted for all development work
- Responsible for ensuring software defects are resolved
- Responsible for reviewing and approving all technical estimates
- Escalation point with other IT teams
- Responsible for ensuring development activities follow CUSTOMER standard practices
- Responsible for ensuring all configuration changes, code changes and development activities follow CUSTOMER approved change and release processes
- Responsible for ensuring all Service Requests have an up-to-date status prior to the scheduled bi-weekly meeting with the CUSTOMER TGL and business partners
- Responsible for ensuring awareness of all major incidents as they happen
- If Level 2 has been working a Major Incident, engage if sufficient progress towards RETURN TO SERVICE has not been achieved and drive the MI to RETURN TO SERVICE
- Lead all RETURN TO SERVICE activities escalated to Level 3; engage all resources required to RETURN TO SERVICE an MI
- For new capabilities ensures regression test scripts are updated if impacted
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with Technical and Business Architects, Functional Analysts, Developers, Testers, other IT teams and business customers
- Ability to document the design artifacts, unit test cases and implementation plans
- Experience coaching less experienced team members with things like troubleshooting, problem solving, proper coding techniques, design review do's and don'ts, etc
- Experience developing custom applications
- Experience troubleshooting and solving problems with custom developed applications and vendor delivered applications
- Ability to create multiple design options (when appropriate) and making recommendations as to which option would be best for the individual situation
- Knowledge and experience conducting / documentingdesign reviews and code reviews (peer reviews)
- Experience working with industry standard code repositories
- Experience checking code in and out of the repository
- Experience merging code with other project code
- Experience developing and implementing rollout plans and back-out plans
- Experience leading trouble calls (Major Incidents/Outages)
- Ability to identify resources required to Return to Service (RETURN TO SERVICE) quickly
- Ability to identify potential problems and solutions
- Ability to ask the right questions to get people thinking potential root cause or fixes
- Ability to lead debrief activities after RETURN TO SERVICE has been achieved, identifying root cause, long-term solutions
- Ability towork with different suppliers and vendors to resolve problems
- Experience leading both small and large development projects from a technical perspective
- Experience leading teams
- Understanding workload of the team and individual resources
- Ability to prioritize team deliverables and activities
- Experience assigning work to team members understanding their current workload, skill sets and experience

Education
