The AWS Industries organization supports large enterprise organizations with multi-national operations and decentralized IT decision making in their AWS journey. Adjacent to the AWS Industries organization, the Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) Operations team is the driving force behind our commercial success. We are responsible for supporting our commercial Leadership, Management, and field teams in achieving our organizational objectives, delivering exceptional customer outcomes, and enabling continuous improvements in field productivity.
The Workforce Management Team is seeking an Org Design & Headcount Forecast Specialist who is a master of organizational optimization and workforce planning. As a key strategic partner, you'll leverage your expertise in organizational psychology to design efficient workforce structures, forecast headcount based on future business needs, and ensure staffing aligns seamlessly with the company's strategic goals. Your ability to balance factors like efficiency, employee, and team performance will make you a vital collaborator for department leads as you work to unlock new levels of agility and success. With an analytical mindset and strong business acumen, you'll build financial models, present innovative org design strategies, and provide actionable insights that empower leaders to make informed decisions about gaining the most ROI from their sales force. Key job responsibilities
- Design workforce structures that balance efficiency, morale and performance.
- Develop detailed headcount forecasts based on historical trends and future needs.
- Support decision-making on org design strategies or scaling operations.
- Work closely with department leads to align staffing needs with business objectives.
- Forecast OPEX costs related to headcount and provide insights on strategic workforce decisions.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Experience in business-process design or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
