Bruker OST produces superconducting wire for the medical and scientific industries. Our products enable MRI machines that help diagnose medical conditions in hospitals and clinics around the world and are also vital components in some of the largest global scientific experimental devices such as particle accelerators for high-energy physics research, and tokamaks for fusion energy research.
This position is responsible for assimilating and advising new hourly employees by providing or facilitating onboarding and training, and subsequent guidance to foster motivation and retention. You will be working closely with our manufacturing leaders and managers to develop, facilitate, and/or provide competency and training programs that drive productivity, expertise, and safety in the field.
Responsibilities:- Interface on a day-to-day basis with new hires, conduct orientations and provide training.
- Strong partnership with value stream managers and group leaders.
- Significantly enhance employee skillsets and knowledge, fostering a highly skilled workforce that positively impacts productivity and business results.
- Align with HR and operations supervision to tailor learning and training opportunities to colleagues based on business needs and focuses.
- Measure the effectiveness of learning interventions and adjust strategies as needed for continuous improvement.
- Establish a culture of continuous learning, ensuring employees are equipped with the required skills and knowledge, driving both individual growth and organizational performance.
- Implement training program materials and perform reviews of process documentation to ensure consistency.
- Maintain, update, and create training reports as requested.
- Play an active role in the introduction and compliance of safety policies.
- Foster retention of new employees through training and daily communications.
- Two plus years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- Experience in developing, and administering, equipment operator training programs.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarization with manufacturing standard instruction.
- Familiarity with learning management systems e.g. SuccessFactors
- Ability to read and understand all safety operating procedures and to use all safety features and equipment.
- Ability to explain complex steps in straightforward directions and assess the trainee's capability.
- Interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy, with Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive company information.
- AI competency is a plus.
- Mechanical Aptitude.
- Flexibility to be available for off shifts as needed.
