About the Job
- Maintain a safe and quality environment.
- Appropriate staffing to attain the daily production plan.
- Address daily challenges as they arise and remove roadblocks for the team members.
- Constant communication with team members and the supervisors.
- Manage continuous production through lunch and breaks.
- Monitor the productivity through out the shift and make necessary corrective action when deviation occur.
- Implement appropriate training and build an effective team.
- Communicate and coordinate with other leads for a seamless shift to shift transition.
- Be a working lead and make the team successful.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma.
Must be able to work weekend hours. Overtime may be required.
- Participate in the hand off meeting with the previous shift team lead and understand priorities, tool status and work in progress for the operational continuity.
- Check attendance, late or absence and prepare assignments accordingly.
- Facilitate the beginning of the shift 5 minutes huddle to share the shift priorities and goals with all team members.
- Emphasis on safety and ensure members are wearing appropriate PPE.
- Ensure the shift start up goes smooth.
- Be part of the team and share team members duties.
- Check and monitor the status every 30 minutes and have constant communication with supervisor throughout the shift.
- Training all members with set up, adjustments, calibration etc.
- Develop a standard work and making sure everyone is following as documented.
- Must be certified on all machines or certified within 3 months of hire.
- Help with trouble shooting and resolving issues.
- Work closely with the maintenance tech, equipment engineers and process engineers.
- Escalate challenges and issues in a timely manner.
- Identify the weak areas and develop a plan to start cross training operators 6 hours a day.
- Keep a log of any outstanding over achievers, get with supervisor to recognize these operators.
- Use over achievers to help train.
- Monitor and coordinate employee breaks/lunch.
- Any personnel challenge arises do seek support from the supervisor.
- 5S the area and encourage members to keep the area clean and free of hazards.
- The team will follow a good leader, preach teamwork and department goals.
- Summarize and report out the shift status to supervisor.
- Participate in the hand off meeting with the next shift team lead and communicate the priorities, tool status and work in progress for the operational continuity.
- Experience with networked PC based computer system. (Excel, Email, and MRP).
- Must be technically inclined with mechanical skills.
- Experience with problem analysis and resolution and reporting and documentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures while offering suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Experience with 5S considered a plus, but not required.
- Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)

Safety Requirements
