Travel Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care Nursing Specialist
Location:
Rapid City, SD
(Must not be local to worksite location)
Job Type:
Full-Time Travel Contract
(Up to 13 week assignments)
Compensation:
$71-84 per hour, blended rate
40 hours per week, guaranteed pay
(Housing and meals stipends available for travel contracts)

Job Description:
As a Registered Nurse with a specialization in Wound Care Nursing, your role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care to patients with complex wound care needs. You will:
- Assess and diagnose wounds, collaborating with healthcare teams to develop specialized treatment plans.
- Administer advanced wound care therapies and treatments with precision and compassion.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize healing.
- Educate patients, their families, and other healthcare providers on wound care best practices.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation specific to wound care procedures.
- Adhere to rigorous healthcare and safety standards, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Active and unrestricted nursing license in the state of South Dakota, or eligible Nurse Compact State License.
- At minimum, current BLS, Wound Care, and Ostomy (CWOCN) certifications (Certification requirements vary by location).
- At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, actively within the last 12 months.
- At least 2 years of specialized experience and expertise in Wound Care nursing, including advanced wound assessment and treatment skills.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic wound care environment.
- Travel experience preferred, not required.
