The community you’ll be caring for: _AdventHealth Lake Wales_
· AdventHealth Lake Wales is a licensed 160-bed hospital, with 24-hour emergency care and outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community and surrounding areas.
· As a part of the AdventHealth network patients will have greater access to a wide range of innovative therapies, new research, leading-edge technology and an extensive team of medical specialists.
· Lake Wales is located in Central Florida in between Orlando and Tampa and is home to the Historic Bok Tower Gardens and Bird Sanctuary.
The role you’ll contribute:
Performs patient care duties, as appropriate, according to his or her scope of practice and under direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Provides direct and indirect total hyperbaric oxygen therapy to various age groups. Accompanies patients in the chamber while undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Performs safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chambers, transcutaneous oximetry monitors, and related support systems. Responsible for the day to day inspection and maintenance of the hyperbaric chambers and related support systems. Utilizes the APIE process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) to achieve the goals of the Hyperbaric Medicine department. Adheres to the Advent Health Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of applicable local, state and federal agencies /accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Supports clinical hyperbaric facility accreditation.

· Transports patients as required to ensure timely adherence to the treatment schedule/ minimize patient inconvenience. Triages telephone calls and routes to correct staff member.
· Performs patient care duties, as appropriate, according to his or her scope of practice and under direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Assists in patient preparation for treatment. Reinforces education as it related to hyperbaric therapy.
· Accompanies patients in the chamber undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy and delivers medical care appropriate to the level of his/her medical training duties and procedures as directed by supervisor and medical director, as appropriate to his or her scope of practice.
· Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the hyperbaric physician. Keeps complete and accurate patient record as they pertain to treatment documentation.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Certified Medical Assistant
· 2 years experience as CMA
· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
