About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Wound Care (Ostomy Certified) **Job Specialty:** Inpatient Wound Care **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 8-Hour Variable **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years required. Traveler with first-time experience is accepted if they have prior wound care experience. **License:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Nursing board approved education program completion **Certifications:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Wound care certification - Ostomy certification (CWOCN) **Must-Have:** - General wound care experience - Familiarity with Wound Vacs, Nurse Level Debridement, Performing ABIs, Cast cutting **Job Description:** - Provide inpatient and outpatient wound care, managing a diverse range of wounds including diabetic foot wounds, vascular wounds, and pressure injuries. - Maintain a typical patient ratio of 1 patient per hour, dependent on the complexity of cases. - Collaborate with a team consisting of Certified Nurse Practitioners (CNPs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in both inpatient and outpatient settings. - Utilize EPIC charting system for patient records and documentation. - Possibility of floating between inpatient and outpatient settings. - Participate in a 1-2 weeks orientation program for the unit. - Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with no nights, weekends, or major holidays required. - Embrace a tight-knit, family-like atmosphere with significant autonomy and independence. - Adhere to the facility's standard of wearing Navy Blue scrubs.
