Title: X-ray Sales Engineer
Reports to: X-ray Sales Manager
Department: Sales & Marketing
Job Summary:
Effectively build relationships with new customers and strengthen the relationships with existing customers. Give timely responses to requests for quotes, product inquiries, and ongoing delivery issues. You are key to achieving Moxtek's goal of becoming the preferred supplier for our customers. Be the frontline contact and information pipeline between the customer and Moxtek.
Meet customers' and Moxtek's needs by liaising regularly with other members of the Sales team and colleagues from departments such as Research and Development, Design, Purchasing, Production, and Quality. Communicate with Company senior managers as needed or requested.
Essential Functions:
- Search out new clients who benefit from Company products or services and maximize customer potential in designated regions and product markets;
- Develop and grow long-term customer relationships;
- Technical customer assistance to align products or services with their quality, price, and delivery needs;
- Actively manage aging quotes to realize potential pipeline revenue;
- Negotiate tender and contract terms to meet both client and company needs;
- Offer after-sales support services;
- Analyze costs and sales to maximize profitability;
- Prepare reports for corporate officers;
- Coordinate activities with Marketing, Sales, and Production on a regular basis;
- Participate in trade shows to support territory and company sales efforts;
- Make technical presentations to demonstrate how a product meets client needs;
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education;
- Help design custom-made products;
- Provide training and support material for other members of the Sales team;
- Develop technical articles, datasheets, and application notes to post on Moxtek's website for commercial, industrial, medical, or scientific use;
- Consult with foreign customers and providing electronic translation of drawings and data sheets to design, development, and test X-ray components and products;
- Assist cost reduction while working with global suppliers;
- Use computer skills to develop, create, and modify web applications software and specialized applications to provide technical support for Company website;
Education and Experience:
- BS in a technical discipline.
- 2+ years sales and/or account management required.
- X-ray technical experience preferred.
- Foreign language proficiency preferred.
