About the Job
The Yard Technician maintains the cleanliness of the yard and keeps the rental equipment organized to minimize customer wait time. This position assists customers with equipment check-in, check-out, and basic operation knowledge.
Essential Functions
- Prepare equipment for rent by cleaning with a power washer
- Ensure proper PPE apparel is worn while in the yard
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment
- Provide customers basic training, as needed
- Fuel and meter equipment upon check-in
- Record fuel logs and other information
- Stage equipment for deliveries
- Maintain proper yard organization
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the yard
- Ensure all rental equipment is properly tagged and has required key
- Make small deliveries/pickups to client site and/or retailer using a pickup truck when requested

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have good organizational and communication skills
- Must be customer service orientated
- Valid State issued Driver's License
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision - Self-Motivated
Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

- Environment is consistent with that of a construction, heavy equipment yard and repair shop
- Outdoor exposure to elements
Travel Required
- None
Physical Demands
- Extensive periods to include lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching
- Occasional lifting to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stopping
