When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.
The Residential Program is recruiting a casual part-time Youth Development Specialist to work with adolescents who are court ordered in to our live-in treatment program.
Each day is different! Duties include working with youth who need caring adults to help them learn new skills to manage their feelings, make positive decisions, learn responsibility and develop healthy relationships. You will work with youth individually and in small group settings teaching social skills, healthy coping skills and recreation & leisure activities. Youth Development Specialists also take the youth into the community for small group or 1:1 outings. In addition, you will ensure safety by providing excellent supervision and crisis management.

The schedule for this position is every other Saturday & Sunday mornings. Additional shifts may be available to help round out our team. Meals are provided while on shift.
Qualified applicants should possess a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED. A Bachelor's Degree in the Human service area &/or relevant experience working with at-risk youth is preferred. Candidates will be asked to complete a background check, drug test, pre-employment physical, and TB test. State regulations require staff to be 21 years or older.
