ABOUT THIS JOB:
The Clinician will provide individual and family counseling to maintain or re-establish family connections and address family conflict as appropriate; assess client and family needs, develop treatment plans, make appropriate linkages to aftercare services in conjunction with the Community Reintegration Specialists; monitor progress, communicate closely with all members of treatment team, families and referral source; deliver appropriate cognitive behavioral curricula or therapy as indicated by treatment plan.

ABOUT THIS JOB:
The Clinician will provide individual and family counseling to maintain or re-establish family connections and address family conflict as appropriate; assess client and family needs, develop treatment plans, make appropriate linkages to aftercare services in conjunction with the Community Reintegration Specialists; monitor progress, communicate closely with all members of treatment team, families and referral source; deliver appropriate cognitive behavioral curricula or therapy as indicated by treatment plan.
- Prioritize needs and develop an individualized treatment plan
- Advocate for client’s family and ensure that contact is maintained, providing transportation as necessary and appropriate (home family sessions, court hearing)
- Coordinate with Community Reintegration Specialists to address client and family needs after discharge
- Conduct individual, group and family therapy including DBT-Lite
- Complete comprehensive documentation in the form of assessment, progress notes and reports as well as discharge summary
- Provide psychotropic medication education to adolescents and families (in conjunction with Psychiatrist/APRN)
- Present information and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Offer mental health consultation to program after hours on an on-call basis
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related Behavioral Science - Required
- Active CT License - Required
- A valid driver’s license - Required
- Experienced and knowledgeable in substance use and mental health disorders and treating behavioral issues - Preferred
- LCSW, LPC, LMSW, LMFT - Preferred
- Flexible hours/ weekends and evenings
SCHEDULE & SALARY:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (flexible depending on the availably of parents and guardians to meet for sessions).
- A company vehicle will be provided to conduct client in-home sessions.
- $65,000 - $70,000 per year based on current licensure.
