Paraeducator II - Bilingual (Ukrainian) - 6 hrs/day (ELSD/PC#253499)
NOTE: Must be bilingual in Ukrainian and English.
Position Summary: Assists one or more teachers with one-on-one or small group tutoring and/or in the direct care, supervision, and support of the children in a regular and/or special education classroom setting where bilingual/bi-literate skills are required. Maintains and prepares classroom materials, records, and assigned student files. Provides instructional assistance that reinforces learning to individuals or small groups of students.

Employee Type: Full-Time
Salary: $19.03 - $25.18 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on experience (new hire maximum of step 5).
Location: English Learners Services Dept.
Hours: 6 hours/day; 5 days/week
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4-5.99 hours/day).
Education and Experience: The position requires the equivalent of a high school diploma plus experience working with students in a classroom or equivalent environment and successful completion of a competency exam resulting in a certificate. Requires knowledge of and competency in a second language.
Licenses and Certifications: May require a valid driver’s license. Approved competency examination. May require a valid First Aid/CPR card.
